Sony today unveiled its first offering for the holiday shopping season by announcing a new bundle for the PlayStation Portable. The PSP Entertainment Pack includes a Sony-branded 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails, and a Lords of Dogtown UMD movie for $249.99.

"While the PSP system has out-sold all other next-generation gaming handhelds in the period since its launch, we expect this new offering to drive additional consumer interest and sales, particularly as the holiday shopping season approaches," said Sony Computer Entertainment of America senior vice president of marketing Peter Dille.

The PSP is also offered in a bare-bones "core" bundle, which includes the PSP, a battery, and an AC adapter. Sony will continue to offer this bundle, which retails for $199.99, through the holiday season.

Sony claims the value of the Entertainment Pack to be near $300 or more, meaning savings of around $50. The new pack goes on sale tomorrow.
