PSO Launch Details

Sega of Japan has announced the Japanese launch date for Phantasy Star Online. The game will be released on December 21 in the country and, as reported earlier, a limited-edition package of PSO will be shipped with the new 4X memory card. It was originally thought that PSO would be released simultaneously worldwide, but Sega of America has confirmed that the game won't be available here until January, a few weeks after the Japanese launch.

"The title will be shipping in the US in January, though," a SOA representative told GameSpot. "We wanted to do a bit more beta testing [before the US release]."
