PSN Golden Week sale discounts Persona 4 and Metal Gear HD Collection

Except, they are calling it 'Golden' in a North American promotion. We know nothing about this holiday, but we do know what the word gold comes from in terms of an online service.

This is a popular form of bait and switch marketing. You know when you see a commercial that sounds like a popular song but it isn't? It's association with familiarity.

Understand this: Sony is a Japanese company. Them having a sale based on a major Japanese holiday NAMED 'Golden Week' is as understandable as Microsoft having a sale on the Fourth of July. What would you have them call this sale? Random-sale-of-japanese-games-for-no-apparent-reason?

If you're gonna say things like that, at least make it somewhat believable. As Steve said, you're probably just a troll though and I don't know why I'm wasting my time responding. I'm gonna go play Dark Souls 2.

@HowlPendragon also to add to what u said, you cant compare Xbox live to ps plus when u basically NEED Xbox live to play online etc and on PS you dont. he needs to either compare ps4 and Xbox 1 service together or think of what Xbox live subs would be if the only reason to have Xbox live (with the 360) was to get their luke warm shitty free games, since that is the only way to compare ps plus on the ps3 to the 360s.

@Sevenizz You realize XBL is 8 years older than PS Plus right? Sub numbers can't be compared with a margin like that, not to mention the 360 dominated last gen.

People are quickly beginning to see how much better PS Plus is so associating themselves with XBL Gold would probably HURT their sales

Golden Week is an actual national holiday in Japan. Read the article, it says it in the first sentence.

If they release a new game, yes, but if it's a PS3 or older game, you'll need to be a PS Now subscriber to play it on your PS4.

Not sure when it's releasing but it'll most likely have a date during E3.
