The closed multiplayer beta for The Division has begun. As announced earlier, Xbox One players can jump in starting today, January 28, while servers for PlayStation 4 and PC will be switched on January 29.

The only way to guarantee yourself a spot in the beta is to preorder the game, though users have found other ways to get in. On all platforms, the beta comes to an end on January 31.

Ubisoft has also announced a special livestream event in which developers will play the game non-stop now through the end of the beta. You can watch the event live through the Twitch embed above.

If you got into the closed beta, you may want to look at this list of known issues to get an idea for what kinds of bugs and other issues you may encounter.

After multiple delays, the full version of The Division arrives on March 8 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

GameSpot may get a commission from retail offers.
