Major League Baseball's 2016 season starts next week, and in advance of that, new MLB video games The Show 16 and RBI Baseball 16 have arrived across console and PC.

MLB The Show 16 is Sony's exclusive series, and it launches today for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game features Toronto Bluejays third baseman Josh Donaldson on its cover.

The other new, officially licensed MLB game out now is RBI Baseball 16, which is launching today on PS4, Xbox One, Steam, iOS, and Android. Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts is the cover star for R.B.I. Baseball 16, which, unlike The Show 16, is a budget-priced, arcade-style game, available for $20.

Ever since 2K Sports canceled its MLB 2K series in 2014, Xbox fans looking for a licensed MLB game have only had one option--the RBI Baseball series--while Sony fans continue to get that franchise and new installments in The Show series. It doesn't look like this will change anytime soon, but Xbox fans may be happy to learn Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has spoken up to say he would "love" to see another pro baseball game on Xbox someday.
