PSA: More Free PlayStation and Xbox Games Available Now

Ring in the new month with some free games.

It's the first of the month. Since it falls on a Tuesday, that means both the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store updated for the first time this month on the same day. What that also means is that PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members can now grab more free games starting today.

There are a total of six games up for grabs on Sony's systems, but thanks to cross-buy support, PS4 owners will get a total of four titles. These include The Deadly Tower of Monsters, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Letter Quest Remastered, and Pumped BMX+.

Another great month for Xbox Live. PS+ has been lacking for a while now..

Don't know about everybody else, but I get all these games. Already played some and don't care much about others. Ten games a month for a year, I can knit pick through enough to make it worth it. Not a bad deal with the two services combined.

I'll get to try Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.

I've been curious about it and willing to play it but I don't feel it's worth it to spend ±20 bucks on a short single player narrative game with no replay value at all no matter how good the story could be...

I would've buy it on a good discount ±5~8$ but getting it free with PS Plus is even better!

@silv3rst0rm: I'm not that big a fan of 'walking simulators', but I'd say Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is my first or second favorite in that genre (along with The Vanishing of Ethan Carter), but it's not an amazing game. Aside from the overly saturated brightness (where even the TV setting couldn't manage to fix it and make it look realistic), and the less than always steady frame rate, the game looks great, and has a nice atmosphere. The sound is fantastic, the voice work above all else, though the soundtrack is good, and I like the minimal environmental sound work, from the orb that flies around, to the alert systems that go on as you walk around. The story is okay, though a bit disappointing a conclusion, which is ironic, but I won't say why, and it's just an opinion; you could very well love it. The story of the characters and what they're going through is better than the mystery of what happened to them is what I'll say.

@silv3rst0rm: I bought it on sale for about $7 not that long ago.

@ticklemepink: I'm always faceing a dilemma now that I'm a PS Plus member when I see ±20$ games go on sale for < 10$ as I know it could pretty well be totally free in the following months as a PS Plus bonus...

It happened 2-3 times already where I bought games at <10$ just to see it get totally free days/weeks after.

Just happened with Resident Evil remaster as well.
Happenned with some other games...

I know 8$ isn't a big loss but since I'm often grabbing games just to toss them into my library to play them eventually (Which I often don't even do..... =/ I could save a lot by just being careful about sales...)

@silv3rst0rm: Same!

Super Dungeon Bros ???

Who is making these garbage games!

And Why does Microsoft think giving them to us for free will make us happy?

Avatar image for sladey

@sippio: been playing it with my 2 kids and it's a simplistic version of Diablo type game. It's surprisingly very good

Avatar image for tonyleo01

@sippio: it's actually pretty fun if you have friends to play with. I've only played a short demo level at PAX though.

@sippio: it has bro in the title so it makes it a must play for xbox owners.

Avatar image for Warlord_Irochi

@Mr_Mark_Legion: Don't worry. It's also on PS4

Avatar image for ticklemepink

@Mr_Mark_Legion: "Bro"force was PS Plus.
