The PS5 and Xbox Series X are officially sold out at Walmart after five consecutive online restocks today.

Update: The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are now out of stock at Walmart after five separate restocks that started at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET and occurred in 10-minute increments. As usual, stock sold out ridiculously fast--we rarely even saw the "add to cart" button appear. The PS5 and PS5 Digital sold out the fastest, while the Series S was the easiest of the bunch to find in stock, staying available for several minutes at a time. Those still looking to buy a PS5 or Xbox Series X will have another chance shortly via Walmart. The major retailer is planning to restock the pair of next-gen consoles today, February 4, at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET, according to a Walmart spokesperson who informed GameSpot via email. The PS5 and Xbox Series X will only be available for delivery, and you'll be able to order through Walmart.com or the Walmart app, while supplies last.

The Walmart restock will include the PS5, PS5 Digital, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, and the upcoming restock time is now reflected on the listings on Walmart's website as well. We've included direct links for all four models below--you'll want to be ready at your computer right at noon PT / 3 PM ET.

Walmart's next-gen console restocks are known for being particularly frustrating for hopeful buyers. While it's convenient that the store has been announcing its restocks ahead of time, that also provides scalpers ample time to prepare, and every previous console restock at Walmart has sold out within less than a minute. Securing a PS5 or Xbox Series X at Walmart is a matter of luck, but you can improve your chances by being logged into your Walmart account ahead of time and having both your payment and shipping address up to date. That minimizes the chance of it selling out while you're in checkout.

Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X continue to be notoriously difficult to find in stock, despite being nearly three months out from launch. While Sony hasn't spoken specifically on the PS5 restock situation for 2021, Microsoft recently told The New York Times it expects Xbox Series X stock to be constrained through at least June, so we expect the same is true of the PS5. Still, online retailers continue to offer sporadic restocks like the one happening today, though usually no advance notice is given. It seems many of the major retailers did receive more PS5 and Xbox stock recently, as we saw a series of restocks in late January at Best Buy, Target, Walmart, GameStop, and even Amazon. We're continuing to track Xbox and PS5 restock updates in our availability guides as well.
