PS5 And Xbox Series X Versions Of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Appear On Rating Board

These versions appear to be separate from the next-gen-patched games already available.

It looks like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be getting full next-gen versions on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Based on a German ratings board's listing, these appear to be separate from the next-gen upgrades already released for the game on those platforms.

Spotted by Gematsu, the German USK rating board posted game ratings for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order across all of its current devices as well as PS5 and one labeled "Microsoft Xbox." Given the wording we've heard before from Microsoft--this Xbox generation is technically just called "Xbox"--this appears to be for Series X|S.

As expected, the two new versions received the same USK 16 rating as the older versions. The rating appears to have been posted earlier this month, but EA and Respawn haven't announced next-gen versions yet. The ESRB also doesn't list those versions on its own site.

A patch for next-gen consoles was released back in January, offering limited improvements for the games when running on the new systems. This included a frame rate boost for all systems as well as dynamic resolution on Xbox Series X. Full next-gen versions will likely have more substantial improvements, but it's unclear if these will be free upgrades. It's similar to the route CD Projekt Red is taking with Cyberpunk 2077, as it released next-gen patches for the systems initially but won't be launching full next-gen versions until later this year--at which point they'll be free upgrades.
