PS4, Xbox One day-one editions sold out on Amazon
Retailer sells through stock of release day editions, though standard units remain available.
Retailer Amazon has sold through its stock of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release day editions, the company announced today.
"The PS4 & Xbox One release day editions are sold out," the company said on Twitter. "You can still pre-order the Standard Editions, we just can't promise a delivery date."
It is unclear if stock for the $400 PS4 Launch Edition or $500 Xbox One Day One Edition will be replenished. A representative for Amazon Video Games was not immediately available to comment.
The next-generation consoles are going quickly not only at Amazon, but also through GameStop, which is no longer accepting any PS4 preorders due to "high demand." Meanwhile, the Xbox One is sold out at Best Buy.
The PS4 and Xbox One launch this holiday. Unlike last generation, both systems will debut during the same holiday period.
