Suda51's The Silver Case is coming to PS4 in Early 2017. The original PlayStation game's HD remaster recently released on PC, and it'll be available in both physical and digital versions for the PS4 next year.

The Silver Case is a hybrid of visual novels and adventure games, where you play a Special Forces member. You're tasked with investigating murders that have overwhelmed the game's city. The main suspect is Kamui Uehara, described as "a legendary serial killer who went on a rampage of killings 20 years prior." However, it's unclear who or what Uehara is and what he's capable of.

Now Playing: The Silver Case - Intro Trailer

GameSpot recently reviewed the HD remaster of The Silver Case and scored it a 5/10. Critic Justin Clark said, "The Silver Case's unusual take on human conversations, its indecision about whether it wants to be just a visual novel or an adventure game where the player is a full participant, and its lack of focus in tying up any sort of cohesive plot, all add up to a mess of a game."

Suda51, whose real name is Goichi Suda, is most well known for his directorial work on eccentric games such as Killer7, No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned, and Lollipop Chainsaw. His next game is a free-to-play, PS4-exclusive brawler called Let It Die. You can watch our E3 2016 interview with Suda51 or read our preview of it here.
