PS4 And Xbox One Will Soon Get One Of 2017's Hidden Gems

The brain-bending puzzle game Gorogoa is coming to other systems.

Gorogoa is one of the hidden gems of last year. The stylish and beautiful puzzle game originally launched on Switch, PC, and mobile devices, and it was well-received by critics and fans. Today, it was announced that the game is coming to PS4 and Xbox One in the near future.

Developed and illustrated by one person, Jason Roberts, the game tasks players with moving painting-like panels. These panels have depth, however, so you can navigate into and out of them to arrange them in such a way as they can be stacked with another panel.

Now Playing: Gorogoa - Reveal Trailer

It's an extremely difficult game to explain in text, so it's worth watching the trailer in the embed above. In any case, it's a strange but great game that's both meditative and challenging to play.

Publisher Annapurna hasn't announced a specific date or price for the PS4 and Xbox One ports, but it's safe to assume that they'll be $15 like the Switch and PC versions. In our original review of Gorogoa, GameSpot critic Jason D'Aprile gave it an 8/10, writing, "The art is stunning, the atmosphere fascinating, and the puzzles are incredibly devious and clever. Gorogoa might not be a long game, but it is easily one of the most engaging puzzle games in recent memory."
