PS4 And Xbox One Hitman Remasters Collection Out Now

Agent 47 is right around the corner.

Warner Bros. is bringing back two classic Hitman games in one package, with some new bells and whistles to take advantage of this console generation. The Hitman HD Enhanced Collection will bring back Hitman Blood Money and Hitman Absolution for $60. It will be available for PS4 and Xbox One, and Warner boasts the games will be 4K resolution and run at 60 FPS. Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the Collection is how close it is: it's coming later this week, on January 11. [Update: It's January 11, and the new compilation is out now.]

Along with the improved resolution and frame rate, WB promises that the updated games will include increased texture resolution, upgraded texture formats, super-sampling, upscale support, better shadow map and mirror resolutions, better lighting, and updated controls.

Blood Money from 2006 takes Agent 47 around the globe, with iconic locations ranging from Chile to the Paris Opera House to the White House. Absolution told a more personal story about Agent 47 dealing with his own bloody history. These were the last two core Hitman games released until IO Interactive took a new approach with the episodic soft-reboot game in 2016, simply called Hitman.

"We're very happy with this collection and how we were able to update and remaster two of our classic Hitman titles for modern consoles," said Hakan Abrak, CEO, IO Interactive. "Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution have helped us on our journey to where we are today, and we're looking forward to players enjoying them in 4K and 60 FPS."

Most recently IO released Hitman 2, which ditched the episodic format but kept some of the previous game's live features intact, such as rotating one-chance targets. It earned a spot among our best games of 2018.

It's weird that Gamespot has Hitman 2 as a best game of the year when player reviews score it roughly 3/5.

Blood Money I get, but Absolution!? Really? That doesn't need a remaster, that needs a full blown remake!

Howabout Arkham Origins remaster already..

*ArkhamOrigins released at the end of the PS3/XBOX360 cycle

and I barely played it @ the time despite loving it because it was ackward to play PS3 when I had a brand-new PS4 sitting there..

I loved how they used the same ArkhamCity map but expanded..

And being able to swap out the bat suit whenever is a welcome addition since ArkhamCity

for some Hotarded dumb@ss reason decided we could only change batsuits AFTER we complete the game.

Ugh what!!! I didn't want to play again after I complete it. atleast not baack2back. And now that im ready since I got

Return2Arkham im guessing im stuck in same boat..

*this is one of several reasons why i'd rather play AO remastered instead of the 1st two Arkham Games..

*while im at it= Screw you Rocksteady for using such a used storyline for Arkham Knight..

This was such a letdown when they had such amazing talents available to them.

The only creativity was A Joker ghost showing up....

~A new Batman game needs to be 'beyond Gotham' or something like 'GREYSON'

(Google/youtube 'Greyson'-the 4 minute trailer about Batman being murdered and Robin comes outta retirement to hunt down the killer only to find a deeper conspiracy. And the best part was it involved the justice league.)

~or Kingdom Come, Injustice, thes storylines that have Batman saying FU to the justice League and eventually you have factions going toe to toe. usually w/ Superman & Green Lantern on 1 side & Batman, GreenArrow & Mr TEerrific(nameDrop) on the other..

/RANT OFF

sorry bout the rant everyone..

it's frustrating we finally get a uber awesome Batman storyline & it's wasted on a mediocre fighting game...

@sippio: Origins sucked. Almost no one liked it.

Also... you’re on crack. What the hell rant did you just go on?

@justthetip: Blood Money is the best but Contracts definitely does not suck. It also has the best soundtrack of the entire series imo.

My best memories of Hitman was playing Hitman 2 on the original Xbox. They should return to that sort of character driven style. It was epic going from the Monastery to being forced back into the assassination game.
