PS4 and Xbox One Get Darksiders 2 HD Release This Month

Nordic Games and Gunfire Games have announced the launch date of the upcoming Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 27 at $29.99/€29.99.

Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition is an upscaled version of 2012's Darksiders 2. The game will run in native 1080p on both consoles, and players will be able to access all downloadable content. This includes the Maker Armour set, The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, Death Rides, Angel of Death, Deadly Despair, Shadow of Death, Mortis Pack, Rusanov's Axe, Van Der Schmash Hammer, Fletcher's Crow Hammer, Mace Maximus, and Argul's Tomb DLC.

The Deathinitive Edition also features some gameplay changes and tweaks to loot distribution.

"This isn't a simple port," the developer said about the game on its website. "We've put a lot of time to improve both the visuals and gameplay to make it on par with current releases. It's been fun adding more polish to a game that is near and dear to our hearts."

The release date confirms the one was that was recently leaked by retailers in the United States was accurate. At the time, publisher Nordic Games did not comment on the date. The game was first announced in June this year, during which the publisher teased the possibility of a Darksiders III.
