The shipment of the PlayStation2 Memory Cards has been halted due to defects.

Comments

GameSpot News today learned that Sony Computer Entertainment has cancelled further shipments of the PlayStation2 Memory Card in Japan. The reason for the cancellation is that Memory Card defects have been found in which file data can be easily corrupted.

It is not yet known how many of the Memory Cards that already shipped with the PlayStation2 units have defects. A recall has not been announced, but the company said that it will be reshipping Memory Cards around March 20. We'll keep you posted.
