The gambling company developing a PlayStation 2 game? Could Aruze subsidiary SNK be involved?

Comments

GameSpot has learned that Aruze, the developers of Aruze Kingdom: Slot Machine Simulator for the Sony PlayStation, is staffing up to develop a 3D action-adventure game for the PlayStation 2. This PS2 project seems to be a major departure in development for a company that has created primarily slot-machine related games and products. However, Aruze, a massive gambling company in Japan, owns SNK, which it recently removed from the US and European markets. It is conceivable that developers at SNK are involved with this Aruze PS2 project as well. Regardless, It will be interesting to see how Aruze handles the genre and format.

We will bring you specific details as they become available.
