PS Vita Slim hits the US May 6 through $200 Borderlands 2 bundle
Sony confirms launch date for new version of portable.

Sony today announced that the PlayStation Vita Slim model, already available in Europe and Japan, will launch in North America on May 6. You can pick up a unit at retailers in a special $200 bundle that includes a system and a copy of Borderlands 2. The game will also be sold separately digitally and at retailers, though you'll need to wait an extra week before you can purchase the game alone on May 13.
The new PS Vita Slim features 1GB of internal memory, a new LCD display, better battery life, and a new design that Sony says makes the portable more comfortable to hold. The special PS Vita Borderlands 2 bundle also includes an 8GB memory card and six previously released add-on packs. These are listed below.
- Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty
- Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage
- Psycho Character Class
- Mechromancer Character Class
- Ultimate Vault Hunter's Upgrade Pack
- Collector's Edition Pack
Borderlands 2 for PS Vita is a collaborative effort between 2K, Sony, and Iron Galaxy Studios, the independent developer behind fighting game Divekick. Borderlands 2 for consoles and PC has shipped over 7.5 million copies to date.
