Now Playing: We Play Bloodborne, One of the Best PS4 Games

The end of the month is in sight, but it's not too late to claim March's free PlayStation Plus games if you haven't already done so. PS Plus subscribers who haven't yet claimed the current freebies should make sure to do so--as always, March offers a new batch of games to download. And although there are six in all to grab, which is the usual total, Cross-Buy ensures PS4 owners have a lot to download--including some great titles.

As is the case most months, the best of the lineup comes on PS4. From Software's Bloodborne, the Souls-style action game that rewards aggressive play, is the first of the month's freebies. Although it's primarily a single-player experience, it does feature online multiplayer elements, and fans of the game have launched a campaign to ensure that the newcomers flooding its servers won't be alone. If you need any specific assistance, you can check out out our Bloodborne boss guide and tips you should know before starting Bloodborne.

Alongside that, Ratchet & Clank is also free right now. This is the most recent entry in Insomniac's long-running platforming series, although it's technically not an original game. It's based in part on the animated film, which itself was based on the original Ratchet & Clank game.

That's not it for PS4 owners, who will receive a total of five games this month thanks to Cross-Buy. Both games available on Vita, Claire: Extended Cut and Bombing Busters, are free on Plus, as is one of the two PS3 games, Mighty No. 9. PS3 owners also get their hands on Legend of Kay.

All of these games are available to download for free on the PlayStation Store from now until April 3; as they are just coming online, you may have to add them to your cart to see the free price. Other PS Plus bonuses you can get right now include a free Fortnite pack and another for Gems of War. This year will mark the final one that PS3 and Vita games are offered through Plus.

@savagerodent: That jealousy though.

@Arkhalipso: It's not jealousy, it's the fact that they throw these "free" games in with the deal of having to pay for online that gets me. Paying for online is seriously a scam.

It's cool that these games are free... but I don't have time to play them. That's the problem. I am already playing something else.

You guys need to STOP hotlinking the available games in these articles that just lead to a page that links to the same freaking article!!

If you have NO OTHER information on the game outside of the article it's posted in, DON'T LINK IT!! not only is it annoying as all hell to click a link that goes to nothing, it's a giant waste of time and makes the site look incompetent as hell.

Ratchet and Clank is a whole lot better than I was expecting. The graphics are top notch for 2015.

Awesome month. Both R&C and Bloodborne were on my 'to purchase' list.

Yay, games I already own. Well jokes still on me for buying Playstation Plus, but I'm only doing it for Monster Hunter :(

At least all the hypocrite PS fanbois that claimed to have Bloodborne can now try it, and get killed by the Cleric Beast lol.

@RSM-HQ: I bought bloodborne on sale quite a bit ago (still in it's wrapper) and I bought Claire during a digital sale. I should just stop buying things until I'm ready.

Solid month for anyone that doesn't have these titles though.

@RicanV: I'm not saying every person who states they have BB are hypocrites, but sales don't lie, I've seen a few on GS do this "oh yeah the game is the best/ worst game ever- sincerely some jerk who watch a YT video" and gladly called them out. It's not just BB I've seen the same for the likes of Nioh and Tearaway. And as a fan of these games I'm not fond of the lying fanbois go for.

The same for all consoles I suppose, 'fans' of these platforms pretending to support great games when really they're not interested and use them as bragging rights, or try and crush a zeitgeist for games on platforms they detest.

I read the same thing with WiiU and Bayonetta 2. I don't know why some feel the need to pretend owning games they don't have an interest in.

Buy what you like, and equally praise what you like, that's what I think more should do around here.

@RSM-HQ: Oh yea, my comment was more towards the first portion of yours about games you already own.I agree with you on the follow-up that there is plenty of pretending, not just for games but for platform ownership. Not sure why people do it.

@RicanV: Sorry I was in rant mode lol.

Well to go back on buying games, you just don't know what Plus will give you really. And for me it's usually games I'm honestly not interested in playing.

And unless you upgrade to Plus all the time, it's better to have a personal copy of games you have an interest in. You don't need to worry about your subscription expiring.

I recently rebought Bayonetta 2 for the Switch (I got WiiU for Bay2), and though Nintendo may offer games at some point, I'm content with having my own copy that I own. Monster Hunter: World on PS4 is keeping me away from my Switch. But at somepoint I'll be in the mood for Bay2 and waiting for if and when simply isn't my style :)
