Prey Revealed at E3 2016, Not a Sequel or Remake [UPDATE]

a "reboot"? that is rather disappointing. was really hoping for an actual continuation of the first game.

the native american tie-ins were pretty awesome in the original. hopefully this incorporates something on the same lines.

I really hope this release, continues with the AWESOME Sound work of the first Delivery, it was a really awesome game and underrated actually, but the sound, my god, it was gloriously delivered, I enjoyed so much the first game, Bethesda knows how to make good games, and don't disappoint, at all. please do a great job on sound, study the first one, enable EAX, even on headphones it sounded awesome....

So why call this Prey?

This has nothing to do with prey but Aliens...

That is so sad, because it might make newer gamers think this is a better vision of the original, which is a surprisingly good game.

If not remake why got same title as old one .

Looks interesting, but if the game is walking through hallways shooting shadow monsters for hours, that's going to be disappointing.

Who goes to E3 expecting to see fifa and NFL? Who the hell goes to E3 thinking "gee I cant wait foe all the sports stuff they are gonna announce" ?!

I always felt that the Prey theme/setting could be utilized more than in just one game. (which was a great game btw)

the question is if this isn't about a space bounty hunter like 2 was gonna be when do i get to be a bounty hunter in space

How the FU ( K do you turn off the stupid auto-video player? I HATE that goddamn thing. Prey looks really cool. My disappointment over Prey 2's cancellation subsided when I saw this.

I Don't get how they can call it Prey if it has nothing to do with the original...

I mean, Prey was great because of what it was: Poltergeist, X-Files, and Quake wrapped up in a beautiful FPS package.

Now they're turning it into...something else? I don't know we shall see, still too early to jump to conclusion. The shooter action looked great but if it just a AAA version of SOMA in space I am going be disappointed.

In a post-press conference interview, director Raphael Colantonio revealed more details about Prey. He said that it is not a sequel or a remake; instead, it's "a reimagining of the IP."

So, it's a remake. Got it.

2006 Prey was and still is one of the most ultimate games ever.

Been waiting for a sequel; Finally there's a bit of news that makes it legit.

The games industry doesn't know how numbers work anymore.

Kinda disappointed that they're ditching the whole off-world Cyberpunk setting. But even, the whole horror adventure premise doesn't look bad at all.

So basically what has happened is....we got Prey. We got The Last Guardian. We got Final Fantasy VII Remake. We got Shenmue 3. And yet still no Half Life 3. Why Gabe? WHY???

Prey was the original Portal, and in many ways it achieved and surpassed the technology used for Portal. The only game it could be compared to is Antichamber. I hope they keep up this IP and create a surreal experience with their level design

That was a pretty cool trailer. Consider me interested.

Great another dystopia, what made the original prey so good was it's setting. This is just meh at best. Very disappointed

So glad it's being made by Arkane, the closest dev we have to a modern looking glass studios. Supposedly it's heavily inspired by System Shock. Can't wait.

Looks scary as hell, hopefully its like alien isolation but with a bit more action. Limited ammo and monsters throughout the hallways, you must survive and find out what the **** happened on the space station.
