Pre-ordering Dragon Ball FighterZ On Switch Gets You A Rare SNES Game
Two games in one.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 28. If you preorder the game for Switch, you'll get a free download of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden, one of the first Dragon Ball fighting games ever.
An obscure title for American audiences, Super Butoden released on SNES only in Japan, France, and Spain in 1993. The title features a Story mode, a one-vs-one Combat mode, and an eight player Tournament mode. Super Butoden starts with a roster of eight, but another five characters can be unlocked by completing certain in-game milestones.
Preordering Dragon Ball FighterZ for Switch will also gives players immediate access to both Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta.
Dragon Ball FighterZ received near universal critical acclaim, including from us. In our Dragon Ball FighterZ review we gave the title a 9/10. Peter Brown said, "FighterZ is complex and distinct enough to be enjoyed by fighting game competitors, but there's no question that it's been designed to tap into the hearts of Dragon Ball's most dedicated fans, and no doubt those same qualities will win people over who've never given the series a chance. Where past games attempted to get there through huge character rosters and deliberately predictable trips down memory lane, FighterZ has bottled the essence of what makes the series' characters, animation, and sense of humor so beloved and reconfigured it into something new: a Dragon Ball fighting game that can go toe-to-toe with the best of the genre."
