Witcher while you wait.

The CD Projekt-affiliated GOG is offering a special deal for pre-ordering Cyberpunk 2077 on PC that comes bundled with the developer's entire Witcher franchise for just $87.77. That of course includes complete editions of all three main Witcher RPGs, as well as Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales and The Witcher Adventure Game, which are the Gwent card game spin-off and the digital adaptation of Fantasy Flight's board game, respectively.

The Witcher games alone have a total value of $120 when purchased at full price, making this a great bargain. The breakout success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is in no small part what put CD Projekt Red on the map and made Cyberpunk 2077 possible, so this is a fitting way to bundle it, made possible because GOG is also owned by Polish parent company CD Projekt.

Based on the fantasy novels of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, the Witcher games primarily follow Geralt of Rivia, a mutant monster hunter in a gritty, medieval European-style fantasy world who slays beasts and seduces sorceresses. Much like Game of Thrones, which started airing on HBO in 2011 when The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings released, fans have been drawn to the world of The Witcher as a fantasy setting that explores dark and adult themes (actor Charles Dance has even appeared in both series). Many of those fans are now looking forward to a similarly rich and serious treatment of Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk universe.

We learned more about Cyberpunk during Microsoft's E3 2019 press conference, including the release date in April 2020 and a surprising cameo from Keanu Reeves, who will play a role in the game. You can learn more about all of the options you have for getting your hands (prosthetic or otherwise) on the game with our Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order guide.
