Pre-ECTS: Hitman: Codename 47
We've got new screenshots of Eidos' impressive-looking third-person shooter.
Like Activision, Eidos won't have a booth at ECTS this year. To compensate for the absence, the company held a pre-show event a few days beforehand to showcase some of its upcoming lineup. One of the more impressive-looking games on display was Hitman: Codename 47.
In Hitman, you assume the role of a genetically enhanced assassin who's sent trotting the globe on various subversive missions that require you to spy on, kidnap, or kill a number of targets. To assist you from mission to mission, you're provided with a wide range of tools that vary from a high-powered assault rifle, to a simple piano wire. Hitman is played from the third-person perspective and uses an intuitive on-screen menu interface to let you interact with your character and his surroundings.
We've updated our Hitman: Codename 47 gallery with shots taken from the Eidos press event. These new images show the main character in action in a number of the game's levels. Hitman: Codename 47 should hit store shelves in time for Christmas.
