Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced that SSI's latest Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor, is shipping to stores. The game will arrive in many stores this weekend.

Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor is the sequel to the classic Gold Box D&D game Pool of Radiance. It is set in the Forgotten Realms universe, and it lets players lead a group of characters through an adventure that will take them into the ancient city of Myth Drannor to stop a mysterious evil force that is spreading through the land. Along the way, players will encounter a variety of undead creatures and other monsters, as well as friendly non-player characters. The game is based on the new 3rd Edition D&D rules, and it features an intricate 3D world with detailed characters and monsters.

Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor will soon be available in stores for an approximate retail price of $44.95. Those who purchase the game in-store at Best Buy or CompUSA will also receive a free copy of the Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition Player's Handbook while supplies last. A special collector's edition of the game--which includes the standard game along with the Pool of Radiance D&D tabletop role-playing module, the Pool of Radiance novel by Carrie Bebris, role-playing dice, and a soundtrack CD--will also be available for a suggested retail price of $59.99.
