Pokémon remakes on the way

Game Boy Advance remakes of Pocket Monster: Red and Pocket Monster: Green are planned.

TOKYO--Nintendo will release Game Boy Advance remakes of Pocket Monster: Red and Pocket Monster: Green, according to Dengeki Online.

These two titles were the first releases in the Pokémon series, dating back to 1996. The remakes will be named Pocket Monster: Fire Red and Pocket Monster: Leaf Green. These new GBA remakes will allow players to trade or engage in combat with current owners of the Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire games.

Pocket Monster: Fire Red and Pocket Monster: Leaf Green are also scheduled to be compatible with the upcoming Pokémon Coliseum on the GameCube, scheduled for release on November 21.
