Annual celebration of all things Poke gears up once more; visitors to meet favorite pocket monsters, go hands-on with new Diamond and Pearl games.
The Pokémon Festa began in 2002 and has since grown to become a popular summer event in Japan, drawing 720,000 visitors last year. According to an article on Yahoo Japan, this year's traveling event will feature a pay zone, where fans can meet their favorite Pokémon, and a free zone, which will have a demonstration of the upcoming Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games. Separate attractions will also carry their own admission prices. The event will tour a number of cities between July 20 and September 3.
