On top of that, Gigantamax Butterfree and Gigantamax Garbodor will also be appearing more frequently in Max Raid dens throughout the month. Gigantamax Pokemon are typically incredibly hard to find outside of events like this (although you can teach certain Pokemon how to Gigantamax at the Isle of Armor if you have an Expansion Pass), so you won't want to miss you chance to catch them if you haven't already.

To refresh your Raid dens with the new event Pokemon, you'll first need to connect to the internet. You can do so either by connecting the Y-Comm online or by going into the Mystery Gift option and selecting Get the Wild Area News.

In other Pokemon news, Sword and Shield players still have time to claim an assortment of free Pikachu. To celebrate the recent release of the Crown Tundra expansion, The Pokemon Company is giving away eight free Pikachu via Mystery Gift passwords. Each of these Pokemon comes wearing one of the many different hats Ash Ketchum has worn throughout the Pokemon anime.

The aforementioned Crown Tundra expansion is now live and takes players to a new arctic region, where they'll be sent on an expedition to investigate many Legendary Pokemon, including Calyrex and its loyal steed; Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres; and Regidrago and Regieleki. The DLC also introduces a new cooperative mode called Dynamax Adventures where players will be able to team up and catch returning Legendary Pokemon.
