The next Community Day will be held on July 8.

June's Pokemon Go Community Day is now in the rear-view mirror, and developer Niantic has shared the first details on next month's event. July's Community Day is scheduled to take place during the first weekend of the month, on July 8, and features another popular starter Pokemon from the Kanto region: Squirtle.

For the duration of the event, the Water-type starter will appear much more frequently in the wild. Based on previous Community Days, players will presumably also have a chance to encounter a Shiny Squirtle during the event. Any Squirtle that manages to evolve into its final form, Blastoise, before the Community Day ends will learn a special event-exclusive move--although Niantic hasn't revealed what that attack will be just yet.

On top of increased Squirtle spawns, Niantic will offer a special bonus as another incentive to participate in the event. During July's Community Day, Eggs will hatch at a quarter of the distance they typically require. Additionally, any Lure Modules that are activated during the event will also last for three hours, as opposed to their usual 30-minute duration.

Once again, July's Community Day will only be held during a specific three-hour window of time, which is scheduled to begin at different times depending on where you live. You can find the event times for each region below.

North America

  • 11 AM - 2 PM PT
  • 2 PM - 5 PM ET

Europe and Africa

  • 10 AM - 1 PM BST

Asia-Pacific

  • 12 PM - 3 PM JST

Before the next Community Day rolls around, players still have a little more time to participate in Pokemon Go's ongoing Water Festival. The event is scheduled to end on June 21 and makes it easier to catch Water-type Pokemon, including Shiny Shellder. The Hoenn Legendary Kyogre has also returned to Raid Battles for a limited time as part of the event.
