Pokemon Go developer Niantic has a ton of events lined up this month for its hit mobile game, and now one more has been added to that list. The studio has announced the first details on March's Community Day, which will take place around the world next Sunday, March 15.

Unlike February's Community Day, which featured a Pokemon voted on by players, this month's event will feature another Pokemon selected by Niantic: the Psychic type Abra. Throughout the Community Day, Abra will appear more frequently in the wild than normal, and you'll have a better chance of catching a Shiny Abra.

On top of that, you'll be able to learn a special event-exclusive move if you can evolve the Psychic Pokemon all the way into its final form, Alakazam, by the end of the Community Day. Niantic has not yet announced what that attack will be, but we'll learn more closer to the event.

In addition to increased Abra spawns, a few other bonuses will be available during March's Community Day. First, you'll earn triple the normal amount of XP for catching Pokemon during the event. Any Lure Modules that you use will also last for three hours, rather than the usual 30 minutes.

As has been the case the past few months, March's Community Day will take place at different times depending on what part of the world you live in. In the Northern Hemisphere, the event will run from 11 AM to 2 PM local time; in the Southern Hemisphere, it will take place from 3 PM to 6 PM local time. You can learn more about March's Community Day on the official Pokemon Go website.

In the meantime, you can encounter the Legendary Pokemon Thundurus in five-star Raid Battles. A new set of Field Research tasks is also available. This month, each Research Breakthrough you achieve will lead to an encounter with the new Gen 5 Pokemon Ferroseed. A Team Rocket takeover event is also on the horizon; that event will run from March 6-9.
