Pokemon Go's February 2020 Community Day Pokemon Revealed

Rhyhorn will be the star of this month's Community Day.

Pokemon Go's February Community Day is set for Saturday, February 22. While developer Niantic usually designates what the featured Pokemon will be for each event, this time around, the studio gave players the opportunity to vote on the featured Pokemon by completing special Field Research tasks this past weekend. The votes have now been tallied up, and the winning Pokemon is Rhyhorn.

Throughout this month's Community Day, Rhyhorn will appear in the wild and in Raids much more frequently than normal. On top of that, you'll have your first chance to encounter a Shiny Rhyhorn during the event, and any Rhyhorn that you can evolve into its final form, Rhyperior, up to two hours after the Community Day ends will automatically know the Rock-type Charged attack Rock Wrecker.

In addition to increased Rhyhorn spawns, Niantic is offering a few other bonuses during February's Community Day. As usual, any Lure Modules that you use during the event will remain active for three hours rather than 30 minutes. On top of that, you'll receive triple the normal amount of Stardust for each Pokemon you catch during the Community Day.

Like last month's event, February's Community Day will take place at different times depending on where you live. In the Northern Hemisphere, the event will run from 11 AM to 2 PM local time; in the Southern Hemisphere, it will take place from 3 PM to 6 PM local time. You can read more about February's Community Day on the official Pokemon Go website.

In the meantime, Niantic has a lot of other events lined up for Pokemon Go this month, including the debut of the Legendary Gen 5 Pokemon Tornadus, who will appear in five-star Raids beginning February 4. February's Field Research tasks are also now live, and completing enough of them will lead to an encounter with another new Gen 5 Pokemon, Woobat.
