PlayStation Move priced and dated for Australia

That situation has now been remedied, with Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCE Australia) announcing some details later in the day. The most significant news had to do with the Move: From September 16, the PlayStation Move will be available to purchase down under for A$69.95 ($60). Getting the PlayStation Move Navigator will set you back a further A$49.95 ($43), though it isn't required to play some games. A starter bundle will also be available on launch, which contains the PlayStation Move controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, and a starter disc, that will retail for A$99.95 ($86). A spokesperson for SCE Australia was unable to confirm exactly what content would be on the starter disc, telling GameSpot AU that it was still being finalized.

As for Sony's other two big pieces of news regarding a release date for Gran Turismo 5 and details for the PlayStation Network PlayStation Plus, confirmation details were vaguer. The long-awaited Gran Turismo 5 will be hitting Australia sometime in November, with the SCE Australia representative telling GSAU that they the company is hoping to have it ship as close to the North American release date as possible. As for details on the PlayStation Network PlayStation Plus coming down under, there are currently no details set in concrete. In Europe, the service will launch on June 29 for a yearly fee of €49.99, or A$85.
