New mobile game platform arrives for PlayStation Vita and select Android phones, tablets with 16 games and more to come.

PlayStation Mobile has launched. Sony announced today through the PlayStation Blog that the new mobile game platform is now available for PlayStation Vita and select "certified" devices.

The initial launch lineup for PlayStation Mobile includes Loot The Land, Beats Slider, Super Crate Box, Rebel, OMG Zombies, Samurai Beatdown, Aqua Kitty, Twist Pilot, Flick Hockey, Fuel Tiracas, Tractor Trails, Underline, Wordblocked, Beat Trellis, Hungry Giraffe, and Cubixx.

Sony said it plans to "constantly expand" the lineup, but did not name any future titles.

Players will need a Sony Entertainment Network account to access the content, and detailed instructions on setup can be found on Sony's support page. Currently supported "certified" devices include Sony P and S tablet models, as well as a range of Xperia smartphones. The full list of compatible devices is available through PlayStation Mobile's website.
