PS3 owners are being advised to delete the game's 1.01 patch.

Multiple users (via Kotaku) have reported that the game locks up as soon as a user places a Disney Infinity figurine onto the base. The game's producer, John Vignocchi, has recommended on Twitter that players delete the game's launch-day 1.01 patch.

Owners of the game should note that online play will not be available without the software update. The patch prompt screen will also continue to pop up for several minutes unless users disconnect their PS3s from the internet.

Disney has issued a statement about the problem on the Disney Infinity Facebook page, stating that this is not a software-related issue, and that the company is currently seeking to resolve it. No similar issues have been detected on the Xbox 360 and Wii U versions of the game so far.
