It looks like EA's wacky and wonderful shooter series Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will continue with a third instalment. An Amazon UK listing for a new Plants vs. Zombies comic book contains a reference to an unannounced third entry in the series.

According to the listing, the new comic book will "bridge between video games PvZ: GW2 and PvZ: GW3..." This listing remains live on Amazon UK's website.

A third entry of course has not been announced. In 2017, EA said in a forum post that "no announcement regarding [Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3] has been made at this time."

The original Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare came out in February 2014, with a sequel following two years later. EA hasn't said anything so far about a third entry, and it should be noted that retail listings are not always accurate. Whatever the case, we have contacted EA in an attempt to get more details about the future of the Garden Warfare series.

If EA is indeed working on Garden Warfare 3, it could be announced during the company's pre-E3 event in June. Just recently, EA announced that its EA Play event returns to Los Angeles starting on June 9. Among other games, the next Battlefield game will be playable there.

When the first Garden Warfare was announced, many wondered....why? A shooter spinoff of the the popular tower defense franchise? As it turned out, it was a lot of fun and worked well, receiving praise for its humorous tone and colorful worlds.
