PlanetSide goes open beta

Sony Online Entertainment announced today that it has begun the open beta phase for PlanetSide, its upcoming massively multiplayer online first-person shooter. The game will let players choose to play as a soldier belonging to one of three different political factions, each of which has access to different weapons, vehicles, and technology.
