Pikmin Bloom, a new mobile game developed by Niantic, the studio behind Pokémon Go, is now live in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

This is an exercised-focused app, and you can engage in various activities like growing Pikmin with every step you take. Once grown, you can pluck them out from the ground and have them trail alongside you. The more you walk, the more Pikmin you will have. There are seven types of Pikmin, each with different characteristics.

You can also collect flower petals from your Pikmins' heads and plant them in the ground as you walk. They'll grow into flowers and bloom around you. While walking, you can take pictures and log them as memories at the end of the day. Additionally, you can send your Pikmin out on expeditions to pick up fruit and seedlings that you may have missed.

If you reach a certain level of friendship with the Pikmin, they can potentially bring back an item that can transform them into Decor Pikmin. The app will have nearby mushrooms that contain fruit. If you come by mushrooms obstructing your path, you can send your Pikmin to get rid of them.

Pikmin Bloom was revealed and launched in select markets on October 26. It is available on both the App Store and Google Play Store.
