The games included in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on 3DS will be functionally identical to the versions released on other platforms in the past. They will, however, look much nicer, something which Capcom is hoping to demonstrate with a series of comparison screenshots that you can check out below.

According to Capcom, the Trilogy features "high-resolution re-drawn graphics." Looking at the screenshots, things do look good deal sharper--not to mention bigger, thanks to the higher resolution of the 3DS screen. That said, we have already seen these three games--Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (featured in the comparison gallery below), Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations--with improved graphics on iOS.

In addition to better graphics, Trilogy features 3D support and includes the Japanese versions of the games, should you feel compelled to switch over from the English versions. If you've never played the Ace Attorney series before, or are simply looking for an excuse to replay its first three games, this looks to be as good a way to play them as any.

Trilogy will be released on the 3DS eShop sometime this winter for $30. You can check out all of the comparison images below.

Screw this eshop bullshit capcom. Didn't even buy Dual Destinies yet, even though I want to play it. No motivation to play digital games.

I would pick this up in a heartbeat if it were a physical release, but since it's download only and I already own and have beaten the original DS versions I'll pass. Not worth the $30 since I would mainly be buying a physical release for collector's purposes.

Original shows more of April's boobs though.

LOL I was just playing the the third episode like an hour ago finished the other 2 earlier, If I knew I wouldn't have bought all 3(+spinoff and the 4th episode) games on DS a month ago -.-

I've only ever played the first one and I loved it. I look forward to getting this trilogy when it launches.

So they went from Super Nintendo to PS1 graphics?

It was originally a GBA game and all they did was smooth out the images, it's like the difference between a PS2 game and an HD remaster. Apollo Justice was the first title that truly upgraded the visuals, which is made apparent when they do a flashback of Phoenix Wright.

the linework sucks but I'll buy it anyway. I must have all the games

Yeah, for some reason, the clean lines don't match, it makes it look cheaper actually.

I have the DS versions already so I don't need this.

So is this game download only?

I prefer the pixelated look of the DS original, but it's great they're including the original Japanese text. I wish more games did that

only the first three games, so even Capcom admit that Apollo Justice sucked way too much.

The game was still pretty good in its own right, plus valuable to the overall story so it would be unwise to skip it.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> but it had some serious logic issues and several time paradoxes. I hated playing it to the end, at least it didn't have Maya or Gumshoe or any of the other annoying dumbass characters from the previous games.

It had its flaws but all entries have logic issues but that's part of the charm, we're not supposed to take the stories too seriously. The 2nd case was the weakest case but I still found it fairly interesting.

I personally like majority of the characters.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> I especially liked the case where the police arrested the small blind kid for killing a giant man with a powerful arm shattering gun and moving his body from the crime scene after it was discovered by the police. and all the times they made you listen to that goddamn Guitar Serenade. just beaten the game last week btw. and will now start playing Edge Worth Investigations, heard unlike Phoenix and Apollo his super power is logic.

Wasn't it proven that he wasn't blind? Anyways, the goofy way they accuse people is part of the charm of the series.

Even in the Trilogy, how many times has Phoenix Wright stacked evidence upon evidence pointing suspicion away from his client yet because he lacks the "definitive evidence" his client will be put away and the real murderer gets away. What kind of logic is that?

Also the final case in Trials and Tribulations (spoiler alert for others), EVERYTHING would've been avoided if they had just warned Pearl about what the plan of the murderer was yet they didn't even consider that and people had to die.

Miles Edgeworth's power is logic, but don't think his cases don't care the same amount of ridiculousness as Phoenix and Apollo, technically he has his own version of the Magatama in the form of his assistant's special item. You'll have to watch the 2nd entry on Youtube since it was never localized but fan translated, and the "logic" you'll be encountering is way more flawed and than any other Ace Attorney entry.

As far as I can remember, Dual Destinies was pretty legit in their reasoning of suspecting your clients, except the first case (but that's the first case so what do you expect).
