Phoenix Wright movie in session February 11
Big-screen adaptation of courtroom adventure series gets Japanese release date; first trailer to debut on November 5.
The last news gamers heard about the upcoming Phoenix Wright (or Gyakuten Saiban) live-action movie was confirmation of the director (Takeshi Miike), its release window, and the list of actors on the project. Just recently, Capcom announced a firm release date for the movie: February 11 in Japan.
In addition to showing the first official screenshot of actor Hiroki Nariyama (from Yakuza 4) as the title defense attorney, the official teaser site also said that the trailer will be shown on the preview reels for all major films in Japan starting November 5. The movie's theme song will be sung by Japanese group Porno Graffiti.
The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney adventure games see players control the aforementioned defense attorney as he defends his clients via cross-examinations. For more, check out GameSpot's review of the original DS installment of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
