Last month, Bizarre Creations issued a yellow flag on the projected release window of Project Gotham Racing 4. Originally slated to appear in September, the game was bumped to the first week of October, seemingly to put asphalt between itself and another of Microsoft's big-name exclusives, Halo 3.

Flying green once more, Bizarre Creations announced today that Project Gotham Racing 4 has gone gold and will take to the Xbox 360 circuit on October 2. Along with going gold, Bizarre also noted that the game's official Web site is now available. The site contains a full list of vehicles as well as other pertinent updates post-launch.

The latest installment in Bizarre's biannual street racer, Project Gotham Racing 4 features an array of exotic cars and, a first for the series, motorcycles. Also new to the series are dynamic weather effects, which Bizarre hopes will add a new twist to the five returning locales--New York City, Tokyo, London, Las Vegas, and the Nürburgring--and the five new destinations--Macau, Shanghai, Saint Petersburg, Quebec, and the Michelin test track.

PGR4 is rated E for Everyone and will retail for $59.99. For the latest on the Xbox 360 racer, check out GameSpot's preview from this year's Games Convention.
