PGA Tour 2K21 Announces More Players, But Something Is Wrong With One Of Them
2K Sports announces two more PGA Tour pros, but the character model for one of them seems a little off.
2K Sports has begun to announce more PGA Tour professionals who will be featured in PGA Tour 2K21. Posting on Twitter, the developer confirmed that Matt Kuchar and Bryson Dechambeau are joining cover star Justin Thomas as some of the real-life players who will be featured in the game.
They are fine choices, as Kuchar and Dechambeau are among the best golfers on the planet. But I have an issue with the Dechambeau character model, in particular. Dechambeau spent much of the off-season hitting the gym and getting absolutely ripped. But his character model seemingly does not reflect this. His arms and chest do not appear to be the right size for the work he's done in the gym.
. @b_dechambeau isn't just jacked, he also leads the @PGATOUR in driving distance 🏎️ Think you can drive further than The Scientist? Prove it. #PGATOUR2K21 pic.twitter.com/dfmTtUARX7

Dechambeau--who is also known for being a mathematical wizard who used to carry a protractor to help him with putts--is known for being outspoken and controversial, so it will be interesting to see if he responds to how his character model looks.
Matt Kuchar is making his way to @PGATOUR 2K21. Kuch has 9 TOUR wins, including the 2019 Mayakoba Golf Classic, Sony Open in Hawaii. What do you have? 🤔#PGATOUR2K21 pic.twitter.com/TneoSM0uME

2K Sports will continue to announce more PGA Tour pros for PGA Tour 2K21 in the time ahead, so keep checking back for more.
PGA Tour 2K21 launches on August 21 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, and it will enter the market with little to no competition in the officially licensed golf simulation market. EA stopped developing its own PGA Tour games after it parted ways with Tiger Woods. The company tried to rebrand the franchise with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, but that franchise was dumped after one release.
The real-life PGA Tour postponed its season in March due to the COVID-19 crisis. It's starting back up again this week with the Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas, though spectators are not allowed, and the event will feature numerous social-distancing and health protections.
