Persona 5 Strikers Preorder Guide: Release Date, Exclusive Steelbook, And Deluxe Edition

Persona fans won't have to wait much longer to play a new entry in the franchise. Persona 5 Strikers releases on PS4 (playable on PS5), Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 23. Developed by Omega Force, Strikers is a Dynasty Warriors-style spinoff in a similar vein as titles such as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Fire Emblem Warriors. There are two editions available to preorder now, including a Digital Deluxe version that comes with early access and several noteworthy goodies. You can also get a cool preorder bonus by ordering at GameStop or Best Buy.

Preorder Persona 5 Strikers Digital Deluxe edition

If you want to play the game early and get some sweet bonus content, Persona 5 Strikers' Digital Deluxe edition is the way to go. The Digital Deluxe edition costs $70 and unlocks on February 19. In addition to early access you'll also get a digital art book, digital soundtrack, behind-the-scenes video, and a pair of in-game content packs.

Since Persona 5 Strikers is a spinoff developed by the team behind Dynasty Warriors, it will play quite differently compared to mainline Persona games. That said, it's more of a crossover, as it takes elements from both franchises. Strikers has hack-and-slash combat, but you can pause time to use skills and come up with the best strategy to tackle each encounter. You can also expect a fair amount of exploration and a deep narrative that focuses on the bonds between characters--much like the social simulation aspects that play a huge role in the mainline games. And considering Strikers takes place after Persona 5, it can be viewed as a sequel of sorts.

Strikers will have plenty of playable characters, including favorites from the Phantom Thieves as well as new characters that will influence the story. Strikers will retain Persona's distinct art style and takes place in Tokyo and other locations across Japan. The soundtrack features new songs as well as remixed versions of beloved Persona tracks.
