Peacock's Saved By The Bell Reboot Premiere Date Confirmed

The popular '90s high school comedy is set to hit the streaming service later this year.

The popular '90s high school comedy Saved by the Bell is returning this fall, with a new series hitting NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming platform. The show's premiere date has now been confirmed.

Saved by the Bell will premiere on Wednesday, November 25. All of the episodes of the series will be released at once. The series is a "reimagining" of the original show, which mixes members of the original cast with new actors. The series is still set at Bayside High, and you can check the full trailer for the show here, as well as this new teaser:

Familiar--if older--faces in the new Saved by the Bell include Mario Lopez as Slater, Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie, Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Zack, and Tiffani Thiessen as Kelly, The new cast includes Belmont Cameli as Slater and Jessie's son and Haskiri Velazquez as Daisy. Speaking during Peacock's CTAM 2020 presentation in August, Velazquez confirmed that she had the power to take a "time out" and freeze time to speak to the audience, much like Zack did in the original series.

Saved by the Bell originally ran for four season from 1989 to 1993. It was followed by two spin-off series, Saved by the Bell: The College Years and Saved by the Bell: The New Class, plus two TV movies, Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style and Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas.

In related news, it was reported earlier this month that NBCUniversal and Roku have finally reached an agreement that will allow Peacock to be downloaded on Roku-enabled devices. This followed a series of escalating disagreements between Comcast-owned NBCUniversal and Roku over the sharing of ad inventory, which are the rights to resell services in channel stores and free content for an ad-supported platform.
