Block N Load, the rad-looking PC multiplayer game announced last month that combines FPS and block-building, is now in closed beta. Need a key? You're in luck, as we're running a giveaway right now.

The game is scheduled to launch through Steam in early 2015. Since the game's announcement in November, Block N Load's David Solari reports that there's been "huge interest" in the game.

Block N Load's visuals and unique gameplay are some of its most interesting features. Solari adds that the goal for the Block N Load beta is to gather feedback to help tune the game overall.

Below is a roundup, courtesy of publisher Jagex, of key features for Block N Load.

  • "Ever-evolving battlefields in every match, as players shoot and build towards enemy positions, meaning no game is the same"
  • "Diverse heroes offer a strong mix of roles for full combat, defensive and supportive team strategies, meaning there is a role for all types of gamers"
  • "Every game has a blend of intelligent and creative tactics, fused with strategic shooter action where building and blocks are as powerful as bullets and smarts are as important as shooter skills"
