In probably the most important patch in SC2's history, the custom game community has a reason to celebrate as all of the game's custom maps will now be available for free to anyone with the SC2 Starter Edition. This means that mods such as the incredibly popular Starbow are now free for anyone to play.

Aside from the SC2 arcade being available for free, players with the starter edition of the game will also be able to play as all three races on the Blizzard maps the starter edition continues, meaning that players will be able to get a feel for all the races the game has to offer.
