Pandora's Box Releases
Tetris' creator returns to game-building with his first Microsoft puzzler, Pandora's Box.
Microsoft has announced that its Alexey Pajitnov-created puzzle title, Pandora's Box, has shipped to stores nationwide for US$19.99. The Tetris creator has a different type of gameplay in mind for this one - you must solve a series of puzzles to gather several puzzle pieces scattered throughout the world by seven tricksters. By completing all the puzzles, you'll gather all the pieces and combine them to rebuild Pandora's Box.
"The puzzles in Pandora's Box are not like typical word and logic puzzles. Instead, they take advantage of computer technology by challenging players' visual skills,'' said Alexey Pajitnov, Microsoft's game designer for Pandora's Box. "While traveling the globe, players are treated to visually stunning puzzles that include fine art and famous landmarks from around the world.''
Pajitnov joined Microsoft back in 1996 to head up a series of mind and puzzle games. Pandora's Box is the first in this series.
