Actor Owen Wilson will be following up his role in the upcoming Marvel series Loki with the family action movie, Secret Headquarters, according to Deadline. The film is being described as "a high-concept family action movie about a kid who discovers the secret headquarters of the world’s most powerful superhero hidden beneath his home and must defend it with his group of friends when villains attack."

Wilson's role in Secret Headquarters has not yet been announced, but the screenwriting trio of Henry Joost (Catfish: The TV Show), Ariel Schulman (Catfish: The TV Show), and Josh Koenigsberg (Hulu's High Fidelity) are tackling the current draft of the script. The story comes from an original screenplay by Christopher Yost (Thor: Ragnarok, The Mandalorian). Jerry Bruckheimer (Beverly Hills Cop, CSI: Miami) will produce.

As mentioned above, Wilson will soon be starring in the Disney+ series Loki, which it was recently announced will start airing on Wednesdays starting June 9. Wilson will play Mobius M. Mobius, a high-profile employee of the Time Variance Authority who the prankster god must directly report to atone for his own time and space crimes against, well, time and space itself. Note that this character has nothing to do with Morbius the Living Vampire, whose movie was just delayed to late January 2022.

No release date or other casting announcements have yet been made for Secret Headquarters, but such information is expected once the family action film moves further along. Wilson also has the romantic comedy Marry Me, co-starring with Jennifer Lopez, due out sometime in 2022.
