Now Playing: Overwatch - Seasonal Lunar New Year Event 2018 Trailer

The free weekend concludes at 11:59 PM PT on February 19. Those who decide to purchase the game after the trial period will retain any progress they made over the weekend; however, players will need to use the same Blizzard, PSN, or Xbox Live account that they used during the trial period to carry their progress over. You can find more details about the upcoming free weekend on the official Overwatch website.

Overwatch's Lunar New Year event is currently underway on all platforms, running through March 5. It introduces more than 50 new seasonal items to the game, including six new skins for characters such as Genji, Mercy, Zarya, and Pharah. You can see all of the Year of the Dog Legendary skins in our gallery. The event also marked the return of Capture the Flag, which has undergone some major changes, and introduced a new map designed specifically for the mode: Ayutthaya.

Beyond the Lunar New Year event, the latest update for Overwatch added the ability to change character skins before a match. Blizzard also recently nerfed both Mercy and Junkrat, with additional balance changes in store for Hanzo and Mei.
