Outriders, the third-person shooter from the creators of Bulletstorm, got a new trailer at The Game Awards on Thursday. The new trailer took the form of a short primer for aspiring warriors, with such helpful rules as "cover is for cowards." That was interspersed with moments of gameplay and rendered cutscenes. Outriders launches in 2021.

The game is set on an alien planet called Enoch. Outriders' story follows an expedition to find a new home for the human race after Earth becomes uninhabitable due to climate change. The explorers find that Enoch has some sort of energy storm surging through it, giving some who encounter it superpowers. Players will be able to choose one of four different classes, each with unique play styles, similar to Mass Effect's class system. Check out how the technomancer class plays in our hands-on preview.

Outriders will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on February 2. It'll come to Google Stadia sometime later in the year.

People Can Fly had to delay Outriders from its original December 2020 release date after the studio's development timeline was effected by the pandemic. The studio has maintained that the core game was completed before the delay. People Can Fly also announced that Outriders would have no microtransactions and is not a games-as-service title earlier this year.
