Operation Flashpoint Gold problems?

Codemasters' recently released action game compilation may have widespread installation problems.

Comments

Operation Flashpoint Gold Edition, Codemasters' recently released tactical action game compilation, has problems that may prevent it from being installed on some systems. The publisher is currently trying to determine the nature and extent of the issue, according to a company representative. A technical support e-mail from the company indicates that the error may depend on what version of Windows the player is running. The company does not recommend getting a replacement copy of the game from the store, since that is unlikely to solve the problem. Codemasters will post more information about the installation problems on its Operation Flashpoint Technical Support Page as it becomes available. The page currently includes a brief message stating that the company is aware of the problem and is working as quickly as possible to find a solution.

Operation Flashpoint Gold Edition was released last week and includes the full version of the original game, along with several upgrades and the complete Red Hammer expansion. The game is now available in stores for an approximate retail price of $44.99. For more information, read our full review of the game.
