We put on our chicken suit and tackle some of the minigames in Hudson's upcoming party game for the Wii.

It has been a while since we've seen a Mario Party game, but if you're looking for a family-friendly party game, Oops! Prank Party is like a much simpler version with 100 minigames that are accessible from the start. At Konami's recent press event, we played a few random minigames to see what Oops! Prank Party had to offer.

Who's Making This Game: The game is being developed and published by Hudson.

What The Game Looks Like: Oops! Prank Party doesn't have Mii support, but because of the game's minimalistic layout and unproportional avatars, the characters will kind of remind you of the goofy Miis. There isn't a lot going on in terms of background or decoration. Most of the attention went into the outrageous outfits that you can dress your characters in.

What There Is To Do: There are three modes to play: Master mode, Free Play mode, and Board Game mode. In Master mode you can play the different challenges that have been set for you and up to three of your friends. Free Play mode lets you play any of the 100 minigames, and Board Game mode is essentially like Mario Party, where you take turns rolling the dice to advance, and the person with the most gold pieces wins.

There are also a lot of customization options for your avatar, so you can dress them up in silly outfits to represent you.

How The Game Is Played: The minigames we tried were all really simple and easy to play. A lot of them rely on chance, but there are a few that are like rhythm games or quick memory games. For example, one game had us copying the moves of the monkey by using the D pad and number buttons on the remote. As time went on, more moves were thrown in, and we also had to pick up the pace. This was very similar to the ninja star game as well, where we had to block ninja stars by pressing the direction or button that appears on the screen.

What makes this game a bit different is that when you win, the other players will have to wear some kind of ridiculous outfit, like a chicken suit or banana suit. As time goes on, the more you lose, the more items of clothing you will have to put on. Eventually, you'll be strutting your stuff in a hot dog outfit with black leggings and crazy hair.

What They Say: Oops! Prank Party is the perfect centerpiece to any party, or just the game to play after homework.

What We Say: This looks to be a fun and silly party game for the younger crowd looking for an easy-to-play minigame compilation. The visuals are a bit bare, but there are plenty of games to choose from, and the fact that they're accessible from the start is a nice perk.
