One Of Barbarian's Deleted Scenes Is Gag-Inducing

Here's what happens in one of the unreleased scenes for the horror movie.

Barbarian is a horror movie that made waves this past year. Directed and written by Zach Cregger (The Whitest Kids U'Know), the film received a lot of acclaim when it was released, and now that it's available digitally, you can watch the movie from the comfort--and safety--of your own home. The digital release also includes some bonus features, including deleted scenes, and in one of them, we get to see an exceptionally gross moment that's described below.

Warning: There are some mid-movie spoilers for Barbarian below.

Barbarian takes place in an Airbnb. Tess (Georgina Campbell) rents out a house in Detroit while interviewing for a job and finds the house is double-booked as Keith (Bill Skarsgård) is already staying there. The two decide to share the place, and from there, the movie takes some wild twists and turns.

However, there is one deleted scene that gets exceptionally wild and disgusting. In the deleted scene titled "The Rat," while AJ (Justin Long) is in the "care" of the monstrous Mother (Matthew Patrick Davis), she decides that AJ needs to eat. So Mother grabs a live rat buried under a blanket and bites its head off. She then forces AJ's mouth open, and spits the partially-chewed rat head into his mouth. That's the entirety of the 42-second long clip, and it's disgusting.

The special features for Barbarian consist of four deleted/extended scenes and a featurette titled "Behind Barbarian." All of these special features are available on Movies Anywhere, which provided GameSpot a code for Barbarian for coverage. Regardless of the retailer you use to purchase the movie-- Vudu , Amazon , Microsoft , etc.--Movies Anywhere will give you access to every special feature.

Barbarian is also available to stream on HBO Max as of October 25. However, the streaming service does not have any of the special features.

Another horror movie that's getting people sick in theaters is Terrifier 2. The film is so intense and contains numerous gruesome scenes that are making people literally throw up in the theaters. Although, director-writer Damien Leone doesn't want people fainting or getting hurt while watching their movie.
