It sounds like Nick Fury will be in good company in the upcoming Marvel's Secret Invasion series on Disney+. Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as the former leader of SHIELD on the show and it looks as if he'll be joined by Oscar winner and Broadchurch star Olivia Colman.

The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which states that the actress is currently in talks with Marvel Studios about taking on a role in the series, though it's unknown who she would portray. While we don't know too much about the show at this point, the Secret Invasion storyline in the comics focuses on the invasion of the Skrull alien race on earth, who can shapeshift into other beings.

Captain Marvel was the first time the Skrulls were seen on the big screen, led by Talos (Ben Mendelsohn). The actor will reprise his role in this series.

Secret Invasion is just one of a number of Marvel projects coming to Disney+. Also in the world are She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Iron Heart, and Armor Wars. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is airing now, and next up on Disney+ is Loki, which premieres on June 11. It will be followed by the Black Widow movie, premiering both in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 9. And for the biggest Marvel news of the day, make sure to check out the first trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
